Q: 2009 Mazda Miata vs. Third Generation?
When the 2009 Mazda Miata comes out, will the prices of the previous generation (2005-2008) go down a little or a lot? Also, why is it so hard to find USED third generation (2005-2008) hard top Miatas?

A: Used car prices go down to a point and then on some cars they start to do up. When I bought my second 90 Miata the prices for a used Miata was 2500 dollars. Now it is (at least last time I checked) worth 3100 dollars. So the price for a 2005 to 2008 will go down. The reason that it is hard to find a third generation Miata is that owners do not trade them off as readily as other car owners. While I don't own any Miata that new, I am not ready to trade, sell or in any way let go of either of our 90 Miata's. A newer one is no more pleasing to drive then our old ones. The ones we have are paid for. So to those of us that love sports cars, we just don't want to sell them. Yes there are exceptions to the love between a Miata owner and the car. But they are exceptions not the rule.

Q: how good is a mazda miata for a first time driver.?
Hi I am 18 and am looking for my first car in 2009 when I graduate so the question is im thinking about getting a mazda miata and was just wondering are they reliable and think they would be good for a first time driver how fast are they and what yr. would you suggest for a first time driver to get thanks in advance.

A: For a first time driver, I would suggest you get a slow car. Insurance will be much lower than for a sports car, and you will be less likely to kill yourself and others, especially with a RWD.

Q: is the mind blower performance chip useful?
I have a 1990 mazda miata, and I get around 30 MPG average. But I have found/seen a performance chip called mind blower at ebay.com. I have many doubts about this product. Its says that it increases gas mileage and engine Horsepower. And it fits most cars. here is the webpage ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car-Truck-Parts-Accessories__REAL-PERFORMANCE-CHIP-MAZDA-MX-5-MIATA-1990-2009-2007_W0QQitemZ220280910352QQadnZCarQ20Q26Q20TruckQ20PartsQ20Q26Q20AccessoriesQQadiZ2865QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item220280910352&_trkparms=72%3A543|39%3A1|65%3A12|240%3A1318&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245 ) I want to preferably hear from people who had actually tried them on their vehicles and had about few months or atleast an year experience. The few things I would like to know are: 1) If it's safe to use and does not cause 100% harm to the/my engine. 2) If it honestly does make a true difference of mpg and hp gain. 3) If it is reliable and long lasting. 4) Lastly, describing your experience and recommending it to me or not. If there are honest and friendly people out there you are more than welcome. Gas prices are soooo high these days, but still if there are anything good parts out there I want to do a full research before I purchase and use the prouduct. Thank you very much for taking your time to answer my question. =)

A: Let me ask you this. If such a wonderful device actually existed don't you think the car manufacturers would integrate them into the cars from the factory? These devices are snake oil. They're sold by shysters who only wish to part a fool from his money... If you waste your money on this and open the box you will probably find just a resistor inside.
